Kvyat lands 2014 Toro Rosso seat

Daniil Kvyat will graduate to Formula 1 with Toro Rosso next season, replacing Red Bull-bound Daniel Ricciardo. The Faenza-based outfit's move comes as a surprise, with António Félix da Costa previously expected to be given the chance. Kvyat has performed well in GP3 and European Formula 3 this season, and took part in the Silverstone Young Driver Test with his future team back in July. The Russian, 19, also completed an aerodynamic test for the senior Red Bull squad last week. "This is fantastic news, a dream come true and I want to thank Red Bull and Toro Rosso for giving me this priceless opportunity," said Kvyat.
