Vandoorne rejects Toro Rosso
Stoffel Vandoorne has revealed that he had rejected a possible offer from Red Bull to join Toro Rosso as a replacement for Daniel Ricciardo during the 2014 season.
Belgian Vandoorne who is currently succesfully competing in the Formula Renault 3.5 championship is part of McLaren's Young Drivers Programme since his switch from Formula Renault 2.0 at the end of last year. With one race to go, this weekend at Barcelona, Vandoorne is still in the title hunt, gathering interest from Red Bull, who have approached him to join Formula One.
