Hamilton tips Vettel for victory record

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has backed Red Bull rival Sebastian Vettel to beat the long-standing record of seven straight Formula 1 race victories this season. Vettel, who is tantalisingly close to securing a fourth successive world title, has won all five events following the annual summer break, marking a personal best run. Now the German needs just two more race wins to draw level with, and three to surpass, Alberto Ascari and Michael Schumacher's string of triumphs achieved in 1952-1953 and 2004 respectively, with four rounds of the campaign remaining.
