Pic happy to finish ahead of Marussia

Caterham's Japanese Grand Prix was reduced to a single horse race quickly after the start as Giedo van der Garde crashed off in turn 1. Charles Pic meanwhile set on to catch the remaining Marussia and eventually finished ahead of his main rival. Charles Pic, car 20, chassis CT03-#6: “I had a good start but we’d already decided to serve the drive-through penalty at the end of lap one to get it out of the way and I was playing catch up from there.
