F1 paddock pays its respects

The F1 paddock has paid its respects to Maria de Villota following the tragic news of the former Marussia test driver's death.Maria was found dead in her Seville hotel room on Friday morning, with the F1 fraternity plunged into a deep state of shock as news broke following practice for the Japanese GP. In a statement released by FOTA, chairman and McLaren team boss Martin Whitmarsh declared: "The whole paddock is very shocked by the news that Maria is no longer with us. She was an inspiration not just to women in this sport, but also to all those who suffered life-threatening injuries.
