Mercedes trace wing failure to material fault

Mercedes have confirmed that Nico Rosberg's front-wing failure during the Korean Grand Prix was caused by a material fault in just one of the connecting pylons.  The German was overtaking team-mate Lewis Hamilton down the main-straight in Korea when his front-wing suddenly dipped as he exited the slipstream of the second Mercedes. Whilst the wing stayed attached, allowing Rosberg to continue to the pits at relatively high-speed, it caused dramatic scenes of sparking shooting as it scraped the track surface. Mercedes don't believe a change to the wing's design is necessary, believing it is simply a one-off failure in the material. Rosberg isn't concerned about it happening again....
