Maldonado: Just being in F1 not enough

Williams driver Pastor Maldonado has said he would rather 'stay at home' next year than endure another season struggling at the back of the field and just making up the numbers. Williams have had an awful year with the uncompetitive FW35 and have only scored one point to date, when Maldonado was tenth at the Hungarian Grand Prix back in July, just prior to F1's summer hiatus. It has been a complete contrast to 2012, when Maldonado notched up 45 points, and won the Spanish Grand Prix. It has clearly taken its toll on the Venezuelan too, and he concedes he has found it difficult to stay motivated. “I really need a good car to enjoy it, and this year I'm not enjoying it,” Maldonado told...
