Sato gets Sauber reserve role in Japan

AutoGP title runner-up Kimiya Sato will undertake reserve driver duties for Sauber at his home Grand Prix in Japan this weekend, the Hinwil-based outfit has announced. Sato, 24, made his Formula 1 testing debut with the team at the Silverstone Young Driver gathering earlier this season, completing a full day at the wheel of the C32. Sato, who will further acclimatise to the sport throughout the Suzuka event, is also scheduled to conduct a straight-line test for Sauber at Vairano, Italy on October 18.
