Button concedes eighth was the maximum
Jenson Button has conceded that eighth place in the Korean Grand Prix was the best result possible for McLaren. It was an eventful 55 lap race for the 2009 world champion with a number of delays that cost him time.
The Brit had to make an early pit stop on lap four after damaging his front wing in the chaos at turn three on lap one. He made contact with the Sauber of Esteban Gutierrez after the Mexican attempted to avoid the spinning Felipe Massa.
Button completed 18 laps in the second stint before successfully managing to go to the end on his second set of the prime tyres. After a few delays during the race, Button was pleased to finish in the points. He said in a team statement: 'Turn...
