Räikkönen: Safety Car not an influence

Kimi Räikkönen is adamant that he could have finished on the Korean Grand Prix podium under any situation, playing down the effect of two Safety Car periods. The Finn made his second stop under the opening single-file phase, before rising to third behind fellow Lotus driver Romain Grosjean. He then found the speed required to move ahead of his team-mate, paving the way for an eighth podium of the season. "It was OK," explained Räikkönen, who started from ninth on the grid.
