Sauber rules out signing Barrichello

Sauber team boss Monisha Kaltenborn has ruled out signing Rubens Barrichello for the 2014 Formula 1 season, shortly after naming the Brazilian driver as a candidate. Barrichello, the most experienced driver in the sport's history with 322 starts to his name, had been linked to the Hinwil-based squad at this weekend's Korean Grand Prix, before taking to Twitter and making clear that, "if there is an opportunity, I'm in." But although Kaltenborn appeared open to the possibility earlier in the week, she acted to clarify her position while speaking to reporters after qualifying on Saturday.
