Sauber confirms Barrichello interest

Sauber has confirmed that Formula 1 veteran Rubens Barrichello is a candidate for a seat at the team next year, with the Brazilian expressing a desire to return to the sport. Barrichello, 41, departed the top echelon at the end of 2011, when Williams opted to promote reserve driver Valtteri Bottas. Since then the 11-time Grand Prix winner has contested IndyCar and the Stock Car Brasil championship with limited success. When asked about Barrichello's chances of making a comeback in 2014, Sauber team boss Monisha Kaltenborn said: "I always have to give you the same answer on that, we will announce in due course.
