Fontana to get Paul Ricard outing with Lotus
Lotus F1 Junior Team driver Alex Fontana will experience his first taste of top-level machinery on September 30th, with the Swiss due to take to the track at Paul Ricard in the R30 - the squad’s 2010 World Championship challenger. Fontana is currently sitting 16th in the GP3 Series points standings, and the team's Chief Executive Officer, Louis Patrick, says that the chance to get behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car is a just reward for the potential shown by the 21 year-old over the past year. "Alex has shown great potential as part of our Junior Team Lotus F1 program, so it is fantastic to reward him with a drive as part of our iRace Professional program," he explained....
