'We need luck every weekend' - Alonso
SINGAPORE, September 22nd, 2013 (F1Plus / Jacob Polychronis) - Fernando Alonso has all but written off the season after Sebastian Vettel increased his championship lead to 60 points last night in Singapore. Alonso, who began the race in seventh, soared to a second place finish after a fantastic start off the line. Nonetheless, Alonso believes that only luck will help him claim his third world championship. “The gap is increasing every weekend. We need to be honest with ourselves and know that we need a lot of luck. We don’t need luck in just Korea, we need it every weekend."
