Räikkönen: No more was possible
Kimi Räikkönen believes third position was the maximum possible during Sunday's Singapore Grand Prix, the Lotus driver ignoring back pain to rise from 13th on the grid. Taking advantage by pitting under the only Safety Car period of the evening, Räikkönen went on to pull off a sublime overtaking manoeuvre on McLaren rival Jenson Button around the outside of Turn 14, sealing the final podium position in the process. Referring to his back issue, Räikkönen began: "It's not 100 percent, but we have two weeks [before the Korean Grand Prix] to rest and get it right. We did the best we could by finishing third.
