Raikkonen intends to race despite back pain
September 21st, 2013 (F1Plus / Chris Cameron-Dow) - Lotus driver Kimi Raikkonen struggled to 13th on the grid in Saturday's qualifying session for the Singapore Grand Prix. He was suffering from back pain, which restricted his running in final practice, which in turn compromised his setup for qualifying. The Marina Bay street circuit in Singapore is known for being a physical challenge for the drivers. Raikkonen is therefore likely to have a tough time during Sunday's race, as he is already carrying an issue with his back. He has no choice but to compete if he is to keep his waning championship hopes alive, but is likely to struggle due to the combination of poor grid position and his sore...
