Gutierrez chasing first points
Esteban Gutierrez is confident of fighting for points in Singapore having qualified inside the top ten for the first time.
More often than not this season, the Sauber rookie has failed to make it out of Q1 with his best grid slots being the P14s he achieved in Malaysia and Germany.
This weekend, though, Gutierrez had a bit of a breakthrough as the Mexican racer made it into the top ten at the Marina Bay circuit.
Opting not to set a lap time, he will start Sunday's 61-lap grand prix from 10th place but with both tyre choices available to him.
"To qualify tenth is a really special feeling and one that I have missed," he said. "I enjoyed every part of the qualifying.
