Perez confident of McLaren future

Sergio Perez is not worried about his McLaren future even after his team boss publicly expressed an interest in other drivers. Earlier this week, Martin Whitmarsh admitted that he would happily re-sign Fernando Alonso to McLaren despite both Perez and team-mate Jenson Button waiting on contract renewals. "Yes - any team would. He's the best driver," he said of the Ferrari driver. "I don't know his contractual situation. I assume he's under contract."
