Tyres changes not behind boring races - Pirelli

Pirelli has dismissed criticism that the changes it made to its tyres this season as a result of the blowouts in Silverstone has resulted in 'boring racing'. The company's motorsport director Paul Hembery said such a notion was "nonsense" and, whilst he doesn't believe the racing has become boring, it certainly isn't because of the tyres if it has. "I thought the German and Hungarian Grands Prix were two of the best races we had ever had in Germany and Hungary - so I think that [complaint] is nonsense," he responded. "At the end of the day, Red Bull were leading the championship before and they are leading the championship now. So nothing has changed on that front....
