Renault denies Tavares departure will affect F1 project 10 September, 2013 Carlos Tavares (third from right) with Red Bull and Renault senior staff Renault has denied that the departure of their chief operating officer Carlos Tavares will affect the Formula 1 engine programme.
Media reports last week suggested the exit of motor racing enthusiast Tavares would 'almost certainly have some impact' on the approach taken in Formula 1 by Renault, who supply engines to multiple teams.
But when asked what the impact will be on Formula 1, Renault Sport chief Jean-Michel Jalinier insisted: 'Nothing changes.
