Solid points for Riccardo but disaster for Vergne

Red Bull/Getty Images There were mixed emotions at Toro Rosso after Daniel Ricciardo finished in seventh place in the Italian Grand Prix but Jean-Eric Vergne was forced to retire. Ricciardo held off the advances of Romain Grosjean to equal his best Formula 1 result but Vergne parked his car early on in the race. 'I am pleased with that! After qualifying well yesterday, it was nice to maintain that position at the end of today,' said Ricciardo. 'In recent races where we have managed to qualify in the top 10, we didn’t have the pace to stay there in the race, but today we did.
