A call to the weighbridge during Q2 hindered Pastor Maldonado and Williams’ hopes of a competitive qualifying result, which eventually saw the Venezuelan driver eliminated from proceedings way down in 15th place. Finnish rookie Valtteri Bottas was unable to even progress out of Q1, after only managing a dismal 18th. In glistening sunshine over the Autodromo di Monza, Williams suffered yet another uncompetitive qualifying performance for the Italian Grand Prix.
