Red Bull dominates second practice with Vettel

Sebastian Vettel is set for a promising weekend after he dominated the second practice session for the Italian Grand Prix on Friday with the Red Bull driver more than half a second clear from his nearest rival. The German clocked a time of 1 minute 24.453 seconds around the high-speed Monza circuit, six-tenths quicker than teammate Mark Webber. The field from second to tenth, in contrast, was covered by the same margin. Local favourite Fernando Alonso could do no better than fifth in his Ferrari, compounded with the two Lotus drivers clocking quicker times than the Spaniard.
