GPUpdate readers tip Alonso at Monza
Fernando Alonso has been backed to claim victory at this weekend's Italian Grand Prix, the Ferrari driver receiving 40 percent of votes in the latest GPUpdate.net poll. The Spaniard has twice triumphed at Monza; he took the chequered flag for McLaren in 2007 before sending the Tifosi into a frenzy with Ferrari three years later. And despite below-par machinery, he has claimed podiums for the past two seasons. As was the case for Spa-Francorchamps, Lewis Hamilton has been labelled the second biggest threat with a 19 percent share of the votes, just ahead of reigning World Champion Sebastian Vettel (17 percent) and Kimi Räikkönen (16 percent).
