Sebastian Vettel secures commanding victory at Belgian Grand Prix

Sebastian Vettel has stormed to a commanding victory at the Belgian Grand Prix, after rising from 2nd on the grid to deny Lewis Hamilton the chance to once again translate pole to victory in his Mercedes. The German was followed home by Fernando Alonso in the Ferrari, with Lewis Hamilton a distant 3rd. After the inclement weather conditions which plagued qualifying, the Formula 1 teams and drivers were greeted with dry and overcast conditions for the start of the 44-lap Belgian Grand Prix. As the five red lights went out Lewis Hamilton managed to maintain his lead into Turn 1, as the entire 22-car field miraculously negotiated the opening few corners without incident.
