P1: Alonso ahead at damp Spa

Fernando Alonso headed the Practice One timesheets for Ferrari as the Formula 1 season resumed after the summer break in famously inclement Spa-Francorchamps conditions on the opening morning of the Belgian GP.Despite early-week forecasts having suggested the famous Ardennes rain wouldn't arrive until Saturday at the earliest, the F1 fraternity arrived at the circuit on Friday morning with ominously overcast skies above, which soon turned into light rain showers.
