Sirotkin has seat fitting with Sauber
Russian driver Sergey Sirotkin has had a seat-fitting with Sauber, with the Hinwil-based outfit displaying its clearest signal yet that it is planning to promote the 17 year-old to a race seat in 2014. Sirotkin, who is currently competing in the Renault World Series, was signed to Sauber’s driver development programme in the wake of a tripartite financial deal struck between three Russian companies and the struggling squad. Although several Formula 1 drivers have voiced their concerns over Sirotkin's lack of single-seater experience, it seems ever-more likely that the sport will see it’s youngest ever driver line up on the grid next season.
