Schumacher: Mercedes progress down to good base

Michael Schumacher has revealed that he gets great satisfaction from seeing the progress his former Mercedes team has made this season, the German viewing the improvement as a vindication of the development work he helped to conduct in his three seasons with the Brackley-based squad. Having agreed to come out of retirement to race for the German marque in 2010, Schumacher’s return to the sport was tinged with frustration, as early expectations of an eighth title gave way to unfamiliar battles further down the grid.
