Williams expects Symonds impact

Claire Williams says she expects Pat Symonds to have an immediate impact on the team when he takes up his new role with the Grove-based outfit.Williams has endured a challenging season to date and only scored its first point of the year in the Hungarian Grand Prix, where Pastor Maldonado finished tenth. In an attempt to turn its fortunes around, Williams confirmed a change to its technical team last month, with Mike Coughlan leaving his position of technical director and Pat Symonds being brought in from Marussia.Symonds is due to start his role ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa next weekend and Williams said she expected his arrival to have a positive impact.“Clearly we are not...
