Mercedes boss Toto Wolff prioritises points over prizes

Mercedes will prioritise its long-term prospects over the fight for the 2013 Formula One title, according to executive director Toto Wolff. The Silver Arrows lie second in the constructors’ world championship after Lewis Hamilton’s victory at the Hungarian Grand Prix, with Mercedes having claimed 70% of this season’s pole positions, leading many to believe that the German manufacturer is the closest rival to triple world champions Red Bull Racing as the 2013 season enters its latter stages.
