Vergne laments lack of consistency

Jean-Eric Vergne reckons his lack of consistency is behind Red Bull's decision not to put him forward for a 2014 race-seat. At present Red Bull Racing are looking for a driver to replace Mark Webber as Sebastian Vettel's 2014 team-mate. The reigning World Champs, though, are not looking very far or very wide. The searching is believed to be down to just two drivers, Lotus' Kimi Raikkonen and Toro Rosso's Daniel Ricciardo. But while his team-mate is in the running, despite having fewer points, Vergne has been ruled out by Red Bull team boss Christian Horner.
