Hakkinen 'working' to secure Bottas' future

Mika Hakkinen says he is "working hard" to secure protégé Valtteri Bottas' future in Formula One. Involved in the management of the 23-year-old Finn, Hakkinen is "very pleased" with the Williams driver's development despite his lack of points. That, though, the former World Champion reckons is more to do with Williams not producing a car capable of achieving the "maximum." "I think they need a little more time," he added. Hakkinen is keen to ensure that Bottas is with them through the process as he looks to secure the Finn's future in F1.
