2014 not yet on van der Garde's mind
Giedo van der Garde is refusing to be caught up in rumours regarding his future in Formula One, insisting that his focus remains on 2013 and completing the season with Caterham. Rumours have surrounded the Dutchman, who is in his first season of Formula One, since former Caterham man Heikki Kovalainen returned to the team as a test drive for the Bahrain and Spanish Grand Prix’s, with talk that the Finn could potentially replace him.
Despite this pressure, van der Garde finished a career best 14th at last month’s Hungarian Grand Prix, beating his highly rated team-mate Charles Pic to the finish.
