Van der Garde not thinking about next year

Giedo van der Garde says he is not looking further ahead than the second half of the season at present, claiming it is too early to be involved in talks over a 2014 seat. Speaking to GPUpdate.net, the Caterham driver stressed the importance of putting together a strong run of results after the summer break, and revealed that "another month or two" will pass before his management begins contractual negotiations. "To be honest, I'm not really thinking about next season at the moment," said van der Garde. "The last race went very well for me, now it is important to perform well in the next few races to show what I can do. Then we'll see what is possible for next year....
