Rising Stars: Interview with Oliver Webb

British talent is currently thriving in Formula 1 with four drivers on the grid – the last time we had that number was back in 2008. The next Jenson Button or Lewis Hamilton’s are all vying for position in the feeder series and Oliver Webb has his aims firmly set on a drive in motor sports pinnacle. Webb is currently racing in the Formula Renault 3.5 series which is widely regarded as the final step on the single-seater ladder before Formula 1 – level with GP2 which is a similar series. So he’s closing in on the world of F1 but the final hurdle is still some distance off. Unfortunately there are only 22 seats on the F1 grid and you have to have a combination of talent and backing...
