India dropped for 2014

Further to earlier reports, it has now been officially confirmed that India will be dropped from the F1 calendar for one year in 2014.'If Formula One Management wants us to hold our race in March 2015 we don't have any problem with that,' said Sameer Gaur, chief executive of Jaypee Sports International (JPSI), which promotes the event, in a statement.Previously, JPSI vice-president Askari Zaidi was quoted by the Indian media as confirming the race will skip a year because holding it in March 2014 would not be commercially viable so soon after this year's race which takes place in October.'It has been postponed till March 2015.
