Dissecting the F3 Cup
Before this weekend, I was quite sceptical about the F3 Cup as a championship. After all, its Twitter account proclaims that the “F3 Cup provides drivers of all abilities an opportunity to race in the UK and Europe, in the most cost effective F3 championship available”. This gives the impression that it is a series for rich but slow drivers who see motorsport as a fun way to pass the time. After all, ex-GP3 racer Alice Powell is competing in the series as a last resort as she couldn’t put together enough funding in time for a higher series.
Going into Brands Hatch her car had a few problems during the past couple of weekends, but the team had some time to fix it in time for the trip...
