Lauda hails 'sensational' Hamilton drive

Three-time Formula 1 World Champion and Mercedes Chairman Niki Lauda has praised Lewis Hamilton for delivering a "sensational" race-winning drive in Hungary. Having claimed his 30th career pole position the previous day, Hamilton put to bed pre-race fears over severe tyre degradation with a dominant performance on Pirelli's new rubber, and pulled off a selection of bold passes as strategies converged. In taking the chequered flag more than 10 seconds clear of Lotus driver Kimi Räikkönen, the Briton notched up his first win with the Brackley-based team.
