Hamilton clinches first win for Mercedes

Lewis Hamilton controlled proceedings to win his first race for Mercedes at the Hungarian Grand Prix. Hamilton led away from pole position and completed a couple of decisive moves throughout the pit stop phase to open up a healthy lead over Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel. Vettel eventually lost out in the hunt for second place to Kimi Raikkonen. The Lotus driver executed a two stop strategy to perfection and was able to defend from the Red Bull driver through the closing stages. Mark Webber started on the prime tyres and briefly led the race on his way to fourth place, ahead of Ferrari's Fernando Alonso in fifth.
