Di Resta bemused by Soft tyre struggles

Paul di Resta was left to rue a lack of pace on Pirelli's Soft tyres after suffering his third Q1 elimination of the season at the Hungaroring on Saturday afternoon. On the back of a troubled opening day of practice, di Resta's woes continued into the grid-deciding hour. Finishing back in 18th as the chequered flag dropped, the Scot was 0.431 seconds slower than Sergio Pérez, who represented the Q2 cut-off point. "A tough session and I am a bit confused as to why we struggled so much on the Soft tyre," di Resta explained to reporters after his exit.
