Ricciardo: Don't discount Vergne

Daniel Ricciardo is refusing to rule out Jean-Eric Vergne in the race to replace Mark Webber, insisting the situation could change in one weekend. At present Ricciardo is the favourite of the two Toro Rosso drivers to take Webber's Red Bull Racing seat when the Aussie retires at the end of this season. The 24-year-old was even given a run in Red Bull's RB9 at the Young Driver Test at Silverstone where he impressed the team bosses despite a spin into the gravel. But while all the talk is of Ricciardo or even Kimi Raikkonen partnering Sebastian Vettel next season, the Aussie is adamant his team-mate is still in contention.
