Ecclestone confirms 20 race calendar
Bernie Ecclestone has stated that the Formula 1 calendar will be capped at 20 races, with the return of the Austrian Grand Prix meaning that an existing venue may be axed for the new season. The provisional calendar for next year currently includes a new race in Russia, and the addition of a second American Grand Prix in New Jersey. With the restoration of the Austrian Grand Prix to the 2014 schedule confirmed yesterday, two races are now set to drop out. “We will drive 20 races, no more,” Ecclestone told Austrian newspaper Kleine Zeitung.
