Kobayshi bemoans pay drivers

Kamui Kobayashi has expressed hope that the trend for Formula 1 teams to recruit drivers who provide a budget will soon change, as the Japanese plots a route back to a race seat.Despite enjoying his highest points-scoring in F1 last year Kobayashi was dropped by Sauber after three seasons over the winter. In a bid to retain a place elsewhere on the grid, the popular 26-year-old launched a website for fans and local companies to donate money so he could attempt to finance find a drive, but having been able to count on around £6.5m of fundraising, Kobayashi soon had to admit defeat to find a place on the 2013 grid.
