Silverstone Test Recap: Vettel shows the boys & girl how it's done
A number of drivers, young and old, posted laps around Silverstone at this week’s Young Driver’s test. Sebastian Vettel (1:32.894) set the fastest time of the three day test, a bit of news that generates no new headlines and possibly even a collective sigh of annoyance. He and all the other 2013 spec race drivers that participated in the test, twelve in all and just over half the field that will take to the Hungaroring next weekend, spent a bit of extra time testing out special Pirelli tyres.
Interestingly, sister teammate and speculated seat filler for Mark Webber Daniel Ricciardo (1:32.972) also ran in a Red Bull at Silverstone, though he was just over two tenths faster in his...
