Sainz Jr not getting ahead of himself

Carlos Sainz Jr says there's little point in reading too much into his impressive lap times for Toro Rosso at the Formula 1 young driver test. The Spaniard recorded the second fastest time of the day at Silverstone on Thursday, just a few hundredths of a second shy of Toro Rosso race driver Daniel Ricciardo, but was quick to point out that a test is not the same as the real thing. "This test is just a test - and it is not because of doing this test or doing a good job in this test that I am one day going to be racing in Formula 1," he told Autosport.
