FIA restrictions leave Maldonado in dark
Pastor Maldonado says he will need to wait until the Hungarian Grand Prix before he forms a true opinion of Pirelli's new tyres, with the Venezuelan unable to learn as much as he had initially hoped during his half day of testing at the Silverstone circuit. Although race drivers are permitted to take part in the three-day gathering, the FIA has deployed observers to ensure that they do not carry out development work, with set-up changes prohibited and tyre pressures being set by the Italian manufacturer.
