Silverstone day two - Ricciardo finishes first and third

Daniel Ricciardo led the way for Toro Rosso at Silverstone on Thursday as this week’s young driver test - with race drivers allowed to participate for tyre testing purposes only - continued at the British Grand Prix circuit.After clocking the fastest morning time in the STR8, Ricciardo switched to sister team Red Bull and after surviving an early trip into the gravel recovered to set the day’s third fastest time in the RB9. The Australian is being considered as a 2014 replacement for the departing Mark Webber.Second fastest was another driver in a Toro Rosso, Spanish hopeful Carlos Sainz Jr, while fourth place went to Lotus third driver Davide Valsecchi.More to follow...
