Ricciardo set for Red Bull test

Australian Daniel Ricciardo has a chance to stake his claim for a Red Bull seat next year, at this week's 'young driver' test at Silverstone. The Toro Rosso driver has been tipped to take over at Red Bull when Mark Webber leaves at the end of the season. Lotus's Kimi Raikkonen is also in contention, with a decision on who will partner Sebastian Vettel due by August. Ricciardo, 24, will help Pirelli's tyre-testing programme along with Webber and world champion Vettel. If he makes a good impression, it could swing the decision in his favour.
