Interlagos wants to secure F1 future through to 2020 11 July, 2013 Start of the 2012 Brazilian GP Brazilian GP organisers at Interlagos have moved a step closer to securing the venue's future on the Formula 1 calendar. Earlier this year, the future of the Brazilian Grand Prix came into doubt when Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone said the venue in Sao Paulo must be upgraded. But those fears eased when Ecclestone confirmed city mayor Fernando Haddad had written him a letter 'and he's guaranteed to revamp the whole facilities there'.
