Race drivers can work on balance at test
"true">Following a clarification from governing body the FIA, Formula 1 race drivers will not be restricted to tyre evaluations during the upcoming Young Driver Test at Silverstone. With questions arising over what permanent drivers are allowed to do at the test, the FIA has stated that although work on car developments is still prohibited, set-up tweaks with the new compounds - to be introduced in Hungary - will be acceptable. All car development work must be carried out by a rookie driver at the test, with race drivers not permitted to complete more than a day, or two half days, behind the wheel. The Young Driver Test takes place at the Silverstone circuit from July 17-19.
